Mandy Misser

Well, first of all,I want to admit it. I have not been writing posts for a pretty long time. So I wanted to get back to you about that. I will try my hardest not to be a jerk and not write a terrible post.

It starts like this:

I have a aunt named Mandy in this country called Rwanda which I bet none of you readers have even heard about. Anyway, she has been stuck in this tiny country in Africa for almost eight and a half months and she is coming back home on December fifteenth. Everyone in my family misses her very much. She gets sick a lot. One reason she could possibly get sick is being bitten by a mosquito. Mosquitoes in Central Africa carry a horrible disease called malaria. Malaria is very hard to fight off. People in Central Africa sleep under things called mosquito nets. These nets hang from the ceiling above beds. The mosquito nets surround you while you are sleeping and protect you so that you will not get any mosquito bites and so you will not get malaria. We do this thing called Skype where you set up a time and date and you go to Skype.com and you get to see each other face-to-face. Do not get worried. Mandy does not and has not had Malaria. [Phew!] The people that own the house Mandy is living in have two pet cranes. I have seen pictures of them and they are beautiful. Mandy has also seen baby gorillas and she says they are totally adorable.I miss her the most. I'm so happy that she will be coming back so soon! YAHOO!

  2. I am so glad you started to write again. I think we will not talk about MALARIA....Let's just think about how cute baby gorillas are and think about how quickly Dec.15 will be here.
    Write again soon!

  3. It is so good to see you writing again! Your aunt Mandy has been doing amazing work in Rwanda. I am so impressed with her. How lucky is she to have a nephew like you thinking about her and missing her.

  4. Chase, Glad to see you writing again. I am a Mandy Misser too and although I haven't been skyping with her like you have, I know 110% that Mandy is indeed a Chase Misser and will be so happy to get back to the lovely US of A and be able to give you hugs often. I also know she thinks you are way cuter than the baby gorillas!

  6. Chase,
I was so excited to see your new post up. I would like to identify myself as a Mandy misser too. Thanks for all the information about Rwanda. We never realize how lucky we are to have OFF spray to keep the bugs away. I hope the next 2 weeks fly by for all of you!
